The BHS Wind Ensemble Earns Straight Superiors at the 2022 North Florida State MPA

The BHS Band Program Presents
"Minor Alterations:
A Holiday Celebration with a Twist"

Join the Bradford High School Band Program for a spine-chilling holiday celebration! Our bands will be performing Christmas classics like you've never heard before. Plus a newer band work for Hanukkah, and soundtrack suites from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "The Polar Express." With a little something for everyone, you do not want to miss this program full of festive favorites. Featuring the BHS Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble.

 

The concert is Friday, December 10 at 6:30p in the BHS Auditorium. Admission is free.

"An American Salute"

Join the BMS and BHS Bands for an evening of music in honor of those who have and continue to serve. This program will feature the BMS Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble; as well as the BHS Jazz Bands and Wind Ensemble. The concert will be held on Veterans Day (Thursday, November 11) at 7p in the Bradford High School Auditorium. Admission is free. Contact Mr. Ramos or Ms. Mumbauer for more information.

Jazz Band 1 Invited to Perform at 2021 Rural County Day!

After performing at Bradford High School's Vystar Branch Opening Ceremony, the Jazz Band 1 was invited to perform at the 2021 Florida Rural County Day in Tallahassee on March 11th. More information will come out about this as it develops.

Inaugural Bradford Band Festival Gives Local Bands a Performance Opportunity

Both PK Yonge Research and Developmental School and F. W. Buchholz High School bands attended the 1st Annual Bradford Band Festival on Saturday, October 24th, 2020. Due to the precautions put in place around the State of Florida, the Florida Bandmasters Association cancelled all Marching Band Music Performance

Assessments across the State. For many bands, this meant that there was to be no opportunity for them to perform their prepared halftime shows as some counties deemed it unsafe to perform at football games. All performing bands had bell covers to "mask" their instruments and practiced safe social distancing while on the field in formations. Though 2020 has thrown us many curve balls, many band directors are doing everything that they can to keep their students performing. As the saying goes, "the show must go on." 

Bradford Bands Earn Straight Superior Ratings in 2020!

In March 2020, the Bradford High School Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Band 1 all earned straight Superior ratings at District FBA MPA. This is the first time in the school's history all groups earned a Superior rating the same year during District MPA. Congratulations Bradford Bands!

2019 Wind Ensemble earns the Otto J. Kraushaar Award

The Florida Bandmasters Association presents its Otto J. Kraushaar Award to high school band programs which receive straight Superior ratings at all marching and concert performance assessments at both the district and state levels throughout an entire year. The Bradford High School Band Program earned the Otto J. Kraushaar Award for the first time in school history in 2019.
